Mount Egerton, anomalous aubrite

The Meteoritical Bulletin entry for Mount Egerton is a bit sparse.  Here is a book describing the meteorite and its discovery. (5MB)

It’s a very strange meteorite comprised of cm+ intergrown enstatite crystals and nuggets of Fe-Ni (check the above image for photos of some etched specimens!).

Here are some photos of a 22.3 gram fusion-crusted fragment.  As with most aubrites, the crust is a light buff color (last photo).  Black areas are exposed Fe-Ni inclusions.
