New Mexico, H-chondrite

The finder of this stone posted it on eBay as a meteorite in early 2011, with a single blurry photo and no additional information.  I asked for details and more photos: they had found the stone while hunting for artifacts in a remote part of New Mexico.  Noting that it looked “out of place” and felt dense when picked up, the finder suspected that the stone might be a meteorite. “It was found In July, on a Saturday…probably the 17th or 24th [2010].”  The photo from the listing is below:

Clearly a meteorite.  The 42 gram stone that arrived looks to be an H-chondrite.  The finder provided the find date and location, which will be published when the meteorite is analyzed/approved.
