NWA 7807, type-3 chondrite
This is a very cool meteorite originally sold to us as a pairing with NWA 801, a CR2. Two of the stones that arrived were NWA 801, and these three stones are clearly something else. They’re no Calcalong Creek, but they do exhibit chondrules that suggest a petrographic subtype lower than 3.5. Some dark carbonaceous inclusions are visible on sand-blasted sides.
The long, finger-shaped stone has been fixed together using an easy-to-remove adhesive. The three fragments were sitting in different orientations on the ground and have each weathered a little differently.
