Putinga, L6

The Meteoritical Bulletin has scant information on the fall, but I was able to track down the following paper: Studies of Brazilian meteorites. XIII – Mineralogy, petrology, and chemistry of the Putinga, Rio Grande do Sul, chondrite, by Klaus Keil, et al.

Putinga was a large fall, but it isn’t well-distributed.  This 152 gram complete stone came from the collection of Lorenzo Giacomelli.
