Reid xxx, unclassified

This is an interesting stone.  A meteorite dealer had been offering it for a few years, and it caught my eye when they brought it to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in 2019.  After looking at the stone and poking it with a magnet, it became clear that, although it was labelled “Reid,” it contained far too little iron to be a piece of Reid, an H5.  It is most likely an LL-chondrite, I think.  It may be paired with Reid 026, an LL6, but we don’t know yet.
