Santa Vitoria do Palmar, L3

This Brazilian find was supposedly related to a fireball seen in the region only six years earlier, but the extensive chemical and mechanical weathering exhibited by the stones, I think, casts some doubt on that claim.  But, they were found in a coastal environment, so it’s hard to say how quickly they might weather.  Regardless, the meteorite is a pretty, unequilibrated chondrite.  Here’s the Meteoritical Bulletin write-up:
